Playing off the fascination people have with beards, Kentucky ad agency, Cornett_IMS, has launched a rather unique way to advertise – beardvertising. According to Cornett, beards are an untapped media space that consumers interact with daily. Beardvertising pays men with beards $5 a day to place a small ad, or Beardboard (real term), in their unruly facial hair. So far, A&W Restaurants and Eagle One Automotive have bought into the Beardvertising mini-billboard clips. This would be great ad space for the likes of the DollarShaveClub.com further helping them cut through the marketplace clutter.
