Pushing The Creative Limits

As a marketer I am always fascinated by the approval process of creative. Where did they come with that idea? How did they get that past the client? Who was that really targeting? These questions describe the new Skittles commercial that is airing now. I am completely confused, a little creeped out, but also respect the cleverness of the overall concept, minus the walrus.
