It’s important to strike a balance between Execution and Vision. Execution is what gives a project shine. Vision is the substance. Shine and substance have to grow together. If it’s a shoddy idea – but well executed – you’ve got a shiny turd. If it’s a brilliant concept – but executed with the dexterity of a nincompoop – you’ve got a rough diamond. Shiny turds and rough diamonds each attract a small audience – but if you want a concept firing on all cylinders, push for the shiny diamonds. Develop a killer Vision for your project, and Execute it with everything you’ve got. When shine and substance are at the same level – your project is unlimited.
