Being an account executive can be a tricky thing sometime. You are an advocate for your client and your agency. You have to provide your marketing expertise and make sure that the client’s needs are fully met. A few weeks ago Curt Hanke wrote a great article for Ad Age about account service. He created a best practices list that I would like to share with you: Knowledge, Desire and Confidence. I think these three points are perfect for any type of communication, client interaction, project you might be working on or as simple as any conversation you are having. Knowledge, desire and confidence can take account service and communication to another level. I have written these on a sticky note and stuck them on the wall behind my computer (check out the header above!) as a daily reminder to myself. I’m hoping these best practices will help focus my day on providing our clients the best service possible.
