Graphic design and photography often go hand-in-hand, but not just in the case of using photographs in a layout. Here I have taken photographs of a playground with a strong graphic nature. The repetition, movement, and abstract quality of the images make them more about the shapes and design than the subject matter. Even when the subject matter is a key element, one needs to “design” the photograph and give it a strong layout, or rather, composition. Remember this next time you take a picture and you may end up with a photograph instead of a snapshot. There is a difference.
